Hi

I keep getting an error that says my computers time isn't correct. it happens when i try to sign into my itunes account or get the windows updates. When i attempt to update windows i get this error message: 80072F8F. I went to the date and time settings and tried to synchronize my time with a time server like time.windows.com but it still doesnt help anything! HELP!

I use Vista 64 bit on a Dell Studio 540, 2GB RAM, Intel Core Duo

What if you don't sync time but set it manually? Your post didn't tell.

Nothing?

So when you set it manually, the time and date is still wrong?

Please don't leave out details. For example there was crack that when installed had problems like this. Not saying that's it.

No the time and date are always correct i set the time on my computer according to my wrist watch, clock & mobile. the time and date are actually correct, its just when i attempt to update my windows or sign into itunes an error messege comes up saying there is too big a difference between my pc time and the time on the server i am trying to access.

That helped.

That can happen if your PC's TIME ZONE does not match what some web site thinks it should be.

You didn't dismiss the crack issue I noted so that's still a possibility.

Here's my suggestions:

1. Be sure to not use any cracked OS. Some have this issue.
2. Check that your Regional Settings are for your area.
3. If you use any proxy or hidemyip software, share that detail.
4. Share the exact error message. I'm left to guess what the error message is at itunes.
5. Share if anyone has tinkered with services or run a registry cleaner. I've seen this happen if some Windows Services were tampered with.

Updating Bios
Nov 24, 2010 5:43PM PST

Please check the BIOS settings of your computer, reboot
your computer and see the messege on the screen for entering the setup. Just press that perticular botton to enter the setup and you will be in the Bios setup,in it,just correct the settings of the time and date, save all the changes you made and reboot the computer. If the problem doesnot solve, then go to this site:

This site will fix this problem for you.
