Help with Windows XP welcome screen

Feb 19, 2009 4:23AM PST

A year or so ago I downloaded a program to change my welcome screen (login). I grew out of the phase of wanted a cool looking welcome screen for one, and I feel like it most likely slows the computer down like a flashy background would.

I searched google to see if I could find anything. Everything I found goes as to ADDING a welcome screen, but nothing specifically states how to RESTORE the default welcome screen.

Any help would be REALLY appreciated.

Windows XP version 2002
Service Pack 2

Intel Pentium M processor
1.86 GHz
798 MHz
0.99 GB of Ram

Running on a Dell Latitude D610

a system file. If you know which one, see if there is still one with an extension of .old. If so, delete the new one and rename the .old to .sys.
