First of all, you should never post your email address in the open ... unless you really enjoy getting spam and other malware email. Sad

And I will have to agree with everything Merl said. Do those on-line scans and give avast!4 Home version anti-virus a try. It is free, updates automatically & often, and has a very active forum where you can learn much about almost anything ... as well as seek help (should you need it) from not only experienced avast! users but also from the avast! team who visit the forum daily.

Re: HELP WITH WINDOWS 98 (free software)

There is a program that is not entirely an anti-virus program but it should help. Go to http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?qt=spybot+search+and+destroy&tg=dl-20&search.x=14&search.y=10

To do this easily go to www.downloads.com and in the seach bar seach for spybot search and destroy under the downloads section (click the down arow in the box to the right of the seach bar). You should see a download called Spybot search and destroy 1.3 or something like that. Make sure at the end it says License: Free or else they may try to sneak in hidden charges. Just click the download now button and there you are.

A note: spybot search and destroy may accidentally delete something valuable to your computer so just check what comes up when you use "check for problems" if this happens you can always get it back from the "recovery" section. Besides this it is self explanitory.
