Help with running 2 soundcards at once

Nov 25, 2003 5:23PM PST

Hi Guys..

I'm having a problem with my computer!

I am a Radio Presenter running PSQUARED MYRIAD Under windows 2000

The problem I am having is - I went out yesterday to purchase a brand new Audigy 2 Creative soundcard and installed it - but it has disabled my previous onboard SIS onboard soundcard.. Is there any way to trick windows into running both soundcards at the same time? as under the myriad software you have 4 playout carts and you can assign each cart to a specific soundcard.

any help with this would be GREAT as we go air with this next Thursday and the bosses will have my head!

There are specific cards and software to do this. Sadly, the consumer stuff you have is not going to work with this under Windows. Its not supported.

There are Linux solutions, but that can be rough on the user.

You have the myriad software and all you need to do now is to call myriad and get them to tell you what cards they support.

Just read their web site.

You should contact them about your setup, but from what I read they support multiple machines and a few select multiple output cards.

If this was my setup, I'd setup up the multiple PC on a network version and it would work without resorting to a multiple output card.
