Help with RadarSync

Mar 16, 2006 12:03AM PST

Hello - Have been trying for a few hours to get Radarsync checking of my comp (I joined and paid after CNets recommendation). Always get the white blank: Unable to contact, etc. Is something wrong with the site ? Does anyone know? Tx - Amos

Some have reported that this system is dangerous to their PC. Others say it works.

The web is up or down much like quarks. Sometimes even strange.

Given only the details in your post, try again later.

Common complaint...
Mar 16, 2006 2:01AM PST

Amos,

I hate to tell you this, but RadarSync has a lot of complaints against it and is not recommended by the Cnet editors or us. What you probably saw was one of the newsletters (most likely Tech Specials, from which you may unsubscribe) from Cnet offering you the opportunity of purchasing great software at low prices because you're a subscriber. Those e-mails are actually advertisements from the Cnet sponsors, just like the banner ads and such on the site. If you check out the lising for RadarSync at download.com you'll find it was never reviewed by a Cnet editor and only received an average rating from the users.

Specifically, RadarSync has had reports of not being able to connect, suggesting improper updates that can actually cause more harm than good, and a complete lack of technical support and/or customer service. (You can click here for previous posts.)

I wish you luck with getting it to work, but don't hold out much hope. Sad

John, thanks for your hopeful and uplifting post. Did you know that RadarSync have the Cnet logo on their home site banner? And if that is so - is there really not more than an ad behind this? I think that members should be alerted to the subject you wrote about and possibly inform the editors that most members would consider recommendations in the technical bulletin at face value. If what you wrote about is always the case I would call it misrepresentation. Hopefully all moderators at least should be alerted to it and I would - in your place - consider posting this in the relevant forums. Tks - Amos

RadarSync doesn't
Jun 2, 2006 12:33PM PDT

I just subscribed to RadarSync 6-2-06. Paid my money and IT DOESN'T WORK. It won't even allow me to log on and I get no response to my email requests. Guess PT was right. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS. NOW I HAVE TO GO THROUGH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND DISPUTE THE CHARGE.

Dear Captain: have you read the previous posts on this matter? The moderator said it was a common complaint (I am one of the commons). Give 'em Hell! - Amos.
