I would assume the first thing you would want to do is to call Sony. I've called them in the past and they are very responsive. The issues you describe certainly do not sound like connection problems, but they may be. What are you watching on the TV? How is it connected, and with what cables? I had an issue with my Sony with my Oppo DVD player connected with the HDMI cable, but I discovered that I only needed to have the DVD player powered up before I switched the TV to the correct input. I was getting intermittent video with heavy snow. So, your issues could be simple. Give us more info. And don't rule out calling Sony.
I recently received a brand new, just manufactured in April, Sony KDL-32XBR 6 LCD TV.
The set worked well for 60 days or so. Then, two days ago it plays well for 15 secs, picture freezes, vertical lines appear, then the screen goes blank for 5 secs, and it plays well again, and the process starts all over. This is a real mystery to me. I've rebooted (unplugged and replugged) several times, I've changed all connections. I've even given it a light love tap on the side a couple of times. I have noted that the set runs warm, in fact we were sure we were going to be able to turn down the heat in that room in the winter.
Does anyone have any help whatsoever?
