Help with partition utilities

Sep 11, 2007 5:52AM PDT

I am looking for a freeware application that will resize/move my partition. I have tried g-parted and ranish but i cant seem to get either of them to work. G-parted has a error when trying to resize/move a partition and ranish just wont boot.

If you know any ways to fix these problems or any good freeware applications that good help it would be greatly appreciated. The utility needs to boot from a external CD-drive or flash drive. sorry no floppy drive.

Cheers

Nick

The problem I found with ...

Moving partitions is the OS is usually Windows and promptly fails to boot. This is not a bug.

The problem with resizing with GPARTED is something I cured a few times by booting into Windows, chkdsk the drive and then back to gparted to increase the partition by just a little (or shrink just by a little). That seems to get it done.

I have copied partitions and drives with G4U's copydisk. See google.com
