Are you seeing packet loss only in games? Regarding this, do you have an anitivirus app on your PC?
You also mentioned certain websites do not load consistently. Have you seen the same issue with other browsers?
Hey all, I've been having a pretty serious problem with my internet for the past 2-3 months. So about mid-january, I noticed I have been getting pretty bad packet loss in games (such as League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, etc). I even notice this when trying to load a webpage and 1/5 times it stops loading and I need to refresh for it to load. I have done a lot of things to try to fix this, firstly contacting my ISP, and they told me it's on my end (I called them twice to be sure), updated my network drivers (e2200 killer network), I tried using cmd to flush my dns, reset my ip, and because my room is upstairs, I normally use an ethernet adapter (and because this runs through the electricity at my home my internet dl/upload speeds are cut in half) so I tried using a 50 foot ethernet cable to directly connect my router to my desktop, and although my download speeds have more than doubled, the packet loss problem remains. As a last resort, I saw that a dusty pc or ethernet port can cause some problems (with the dust conducting small amounts of electricity), so I cleaned out my pc ( and good thing I did, I forgot I haven't cleaned it in months!). The last thing I can think of is a faulty network interface card, but my nic card is integrated on my mobo (asrock z97 fatal1ty killer). Could this be the problem? And if it is my integrated nic card, could I purchase an add-on pci-e nic card or will that not work with an integrated nic card already on board? Thanks for your time and I appreciate any help!
