Question

HELP with outdoor security cameras

Aug 29, 2015 12:51PM PDT
I am needing to install at least 4 security cameras on my mobile home and not sure where to begin. Do I buy a DVR and cameras or is there a better way? I have to stay under $200.00 if possible but yet I want something that's going to work. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Any help is appreciated.. Thank you

Websites like Amazon, Walmart, and such can give you an idea of cost. However, don't fall for the cheapest setup out there because you want "outside cameras" and that may add to cost. i suggest yo also check outfits like Lowe's and Home Deport, they offer setups and are local, etc..

I think you're best served getting some kit and maybe a separate item from the PC. Basically, the stand-alone setup will work on it's own and needn't be part of the PC. However, other setups can use the PC by having an i/o card and thus adding cameras to it, maybe more later. Of course, then you to think wifi or cabled cameras but for a mobile home cabling shouldn't be a big hassle. Understand wifi if in a dense area of homeowners could broadcast the signal that others can pick-up as well if not security enabled, cabling eliminates that under normal circumstances.
