Hello All,
I seek your help regarding my
50" Samsung tv model No: PS50A456P2DXXU

I have a virgin cable box connected via HDMI lead. which works prefect. However when i use my virgin box connected via a scart lead, the image is extremely poor. If a dark scene appears in a picturethe bright colours blend into the dark background, for example, if its a night scene, you cant see the persons dark hair, it looks like 1 dark colour. however though HDMI is fine.

I tried both scart socks, the same problem occurs, when connected through with Audio and Video cables, also tried different cable and sky box, the image still has this problem, but with HDMI connection is fine.

I ask because i want to connect my sky box via scart, as its does not
have a HDMI connection. also i have my xbox and ps3 connected via HDMI.

Any helpful advise will be appreciated

After too many discussions it appears the fix is to use HDMI for HD and SCART when the content is less than HD.

Your post is rather confused since you lead with the Virgin box and then write about a Sky box.

Although the content is less then HD, the quality is extremely poor sometimes unwatchable. I should of also mentioned the quality has not always been poor, only in the last month the quality as drop so bad, between July to November it was good.

I meant to say, i want to connect both my sky and cable box to the tv using scart and am wondering is my tv faultly or is it something else.

I'd use what works best. If SCART is bad and HDMI is good then I use HDMI.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
