Question

Help with my hp dv7

Dec 19, 2012 5:48AM PST

Recently my laptop decided to take a very long time to boot to the login screen...now it is not coming on at all. I ordered the recovery disks from hp but still can't get anything to come on screen. Also the caps lock and num lock lights are flashing in sync? Can anyone help with this?

Tried this and still nothing...contacted hp and they advised possible motherboard failure and no replacement parts available..."end of life cycle" they say...hmmm

Usually it's the motherboard.

I take it the battery out and just the charger gave same results. So, a mainboard.
