Help with Microsoft Word 2004 for Mac

Aug 6, 2009 4:02PM PDT

Out of nowhere several files on my computer mysteriously disappeared, including Microsoft Word (just everything inside that particular folder, the rest of Office is still there) and my resume. There could be more. I know that I wasn't responsible for this and I need to figure out how to get Microsoft Word back. I just downloaded an Office Update hoping that would work reinstall the actual Word program but no luck:

This update improves security. It includes fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computer's memory with malicious code.

Maybe it has something to do with that. Anyway, I don't think I know where the install disk is and it would suck if I was stuck with "TextEdit".

Why not get out your Word 2004 CD?

Every person that bought such has that CD. Plus if you registered your copy you can get replacement media for very little. Here's how to order that -> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302822 has the phone numbers you need.
