Question

[help!] with LogonStudio v1.0.64

Apr 13, 2014 3:33PM PDT

I have been looking through the forums looking for someone that can answer my questions below without luck.

I have a Toshiba Satellite M60 laptop os Xp Pro, sp2. I have most of the LogonStudio figured out except the edit window. I can open the logonui.exe file in the edit window. But that's all. I can't make heads or tales of how to change the file. Please see the Dropbox link

https://www.dropbox.com/s/9wi5yod2192kfsi/logonui%20screen.jpg I understand the makeup of the file. The upper box, center box, right and left screens in the center box, the bottom box and the stuff in the box's. When I click on the help pulldown menu it brings up the help file for a newer LoginStudio Editor, not this one so it is of no use. The finished logonui.exe file, I would like it to look like the drawing in the next Dropbox link

https://www.dropbox.com/s/wifvkf7pplkrl5g/sf%20logon%20logo.bmp I have the background bmp picture ready to go. If someone can please give me some instructions on how this version of LogonStudio Editor works, it would be a great help. Thanks.

Steve

This seems a typical question for their own support or forums.
http://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/ has links.

Moreover, of course, program files don't like like pictures. So it's quite unclear what you want. Can you explain?

Kees 1st off I posted the same question on their support forum many days ago and no answer. Looking at the 1st link on the left is the edit window with the default windows xp startup window in it. I want to change the default startup window to look like the drawing in the #2 dropbox link. I don't know how to work the Logon Studio editer to do what I want. And the help file that came with the editor is for the windows vista/7/8 verison not the XP verison that I have. Is it clear now what I am trying to do?

- Are those versions so different that the 7/8-instructions don't work for the XP versions?
- There's not only a forum on that link. Next to it is support. And if you bought the XP version and it came with the wrong help file, that's certainly a reason to contact them and ask how to get the correct help file? They should still have it somewhere, don't you think?
