Help With Internet Explorer Error Driving Me Crazy!

Mar 13, 2004 6:21AM PST

Please help! My computer is driving me crazy! Everytime I go to ebay and try to bid on an item I get an error that says "Iexplorer has caused an error in USEREXE Iexplorer will now close if the problem continues try restarting your computer". so I try restarting and try again and I get the same thing over and over and over, ugh! If anyone can help I would be most grateful. Also does anyone know where you can get a free pop-up killer? Thanks in advance for any help. Jennifer

1. Please note that just above the text editor (where you enter a question on the forum) is the following paragraph, and if certain information is not present in your question, our reply may not be of much help:

Tip: If you are asking for help to troubleshoot a computer-related problem, please be sure to include all the necessary information (ie: operating system, model number, hardware, software, etc) that will help others identify your problem for a speedy resolution.

2. For starters, if you have sound event use of any kind, turn them off to see what happens.

3. The article [Q192832] discusses a situation that should the System File Checker (Sfc.exe) tool be used to restore a file (for example, the User.exe, Gdi.exe, Setupx.dll or Krnl386.exe file) from a cabinet (.cab), the wrong version of a file may be extracted. If you've done this lately, this article explains that a user should extract the correct file. If you have not used this tool recently, do so but be careful about he above mentioned files.
