Hi Shepbob
My name is Vikram and I work for the Social Media and Community Team at Dell. I regret to hear that you are facing issues with IE8. Please try to reset IE8 back to its factory settings and see if that fixes the issue. Please find the steps below:-
Close all the Internet Windows.Open a new Internet window>Tools>Internet options>Advanced>Reset.
And please check the box next to 'delete personal data' and press 'OK'.
Note:- This will delete all your personal setings with Internet explorer.
Glad to assist you!
Thanks and regards

I have Firefox, Google Chrome and IE7. I prefer using IE but many sites now say outdated browser. I have tried 3 times to upgrade to 8 but system keeps crashing saying "IE has encountered a problem and must close" Bang I am dead in the water. I have tried closing all Add On's but the same thing happens. I uninstall 8 and go back to 7 and have no problems. Any suggestions on how to get 8 working.
