Help with I photo

Dec 20, 2006 11:05PM PST

I bought a philips digital photo frame and when I try copying photos to its internal hardrive I get a not enough room message. How would you copy photos to it? Also, How can I put photos from I photo onto a memory stick?

How big is the

Memory in the photoframe?

Are there any pictures or files in there already taking up space?

How big are the photos you are trying to add to the Photoframe?

How much space is there on the memory card you are using?

To get photos from iPhoto to the memory card, the easiest way is to get a USB memory card reader/writer. Depending on what sort of memory card you are using, they can be anywhere from $7.99 up to $40 (single card or multiple card compatibility). You should also be able to use your digital camera - but you might want to use a different memory card than the one you use to take pictures.

Connect the card reader/writer to your Mac. Launch iPhoto. Insert the memory card to the card reader. The memory card should mount just like any other external device. Adjust the iPhoto window so you can see the memory card on the desktop. Locate the photo you want to add to the memory card, click and drag the photo onto the memory card and release the mouse. The photo will have copied over as a jpeg - that is the format the Phillips frame wants...

If you use your digital camera as the "card reader" it should mount, too... Nothing special or complicated...

Hope this helps.

To reduce the size of your pictures you can either use iPhoto, under share, or download a copy of Graphic Converter (which works on a Mac) and use it to reduce the size of your pictures.

Typically, pictures taken with a digital camera can produce file sizes of at least 2MB and up.
