Question

Help with headset set up

Hello guys

First , before I'm asking questions I'm gonna tell you why I'm doing this ...
I'll buy new headset and it's called steelseries h it's wireless , so i want this headset working on my ps4 but if i want to watch some youtube videos or Netflix etc , i have to connect my laptop through HDMI cable to my tv (and the model is sony w800b by the way) to listen to tv using the headset .

now the question is how can i done this without being every time switching Between them ? And is it even possible to use this headset or astro a50 hook them up directly to tv ?cause i never try this at all

I done some research about that and find something called switcher and splitter and of cours two of them using the optical for sound which is what i want however , i don't know how or which one i Need to use , if this gonna work it will be so helpfully for me .
Thanks

I really Appreciate your fast response and i hope any one can help me with switching thing

So what about

A wired or powerline connection to your router? It sounds cheaper than a switching thing. That is, I have seen hit and miss with optical switches so my choice would be clear up the reason you are not using the PS4.

It's the only way !

the only thing i want is when i want to play i can use the headset with no problems and when i want to WATCH using laptop through HDMI to tv i can WATCH tv using headset .
So , my option guys is limited and the only option i have is this so how can i do that .
Note: some times i don't have the console so the only way is my laptop .

A set of headphones for the laptop

May be the cheap easy fix here.

What ?!

What do you mean ?!

Given your story

And the complications and costs of switches of which one is one I've seen hit or miss, the cheap exit which some may need a fresh view to see is a set of headphones for the laptop. That way you can leave your setup as-is for when you game, etc and then listen when you only need the laptop or when watching via your laptop on the big screen.

Sometimes you just need a fresh view.

focus in my option please !

Why you are trying to find another option while the only option i want is the one i've been told you , cause i have been thinking in that option for months and its so hard to change.
if you can't help me please tell me to saving my time !

Then go ahead with your plan.

I hope it works out for you.
