Help with getting Microsoft Office (Mostly Word and Excel)

Sep 15, 2013 11:28AM PDT

I know typical over asked question on the forums, but I really need help and have to get this going. I am trying to download word and excel to improve my skills. Bt you know everywhere I turn, there's no way to download it. I have a Windows XP software so I can't download t new improve, version of Windows365. Then, everyplace I've rrelied on getting it from CNET and centre.org, have not got it either. I am trying to write letters and mailings in word and what if and conditional formatting in excel. Is there anyway I can at least get these two programs.

Any office supply or computer store will have it

You can buy Office at any office supply store (Office Depot, Office Max, Staples) or computer store (Best Buy, Micro Center, Frys) or some department stores (Walmart, Target). Alternative you could download the free LibreOffice which has close to a plug compatible suite from http://www.libreoffice.org .
`
By the way, XP will become totally unsupported come April, so it's time to make plans to go to Windows 7 or 8. You're just going to find more and more problems with XP.
`
Good luck.

You can go to the web sites & get prices.

I'm not sure what prices you're asking about, but you can get prices from the store's web sites. LibreOffice is FREE as I indicated.

Libre Office

As was mentioned, Libre Office is free, it works as well as MS Office, I've used it on several systems over the years. I has everything MS Office has and then some, wpgwpg has the right idea, given your situation.

It's very compatible with documents and more. Why not use that and keep your money?
