Help with Formac Problem

Jul 29, 2005 5:50PM PDT

Hi MacTribe: I own a pricey Formac Studio TVR (converts analog video from older cam to digital inside computer). But it won't work in my new Mac OS X (Tiger, 20" PowerPC G5). It doesn't install and says something about my needing another part. Problem is, I'm not sure what that means. Problem #2: Formac readily takes your dough, but it's virtually impossible to get any follow up help or talk with a human. Anyone familiar with this problem? With the Studio TVR I mean?

thanks

I took a look at the Formac site but it is virtually impossible to gain any useful information without registering a product.
However, the amount of information you passed along to us is useless. You will have to be a lot more specific about "something about my needing another part" Take a screen shot of the error message and try emailing it to Formac. I assume that as an owner of one of their devices, you are registered on their site and have looked at all the relevant FAQ files for the product.

1. If the product is dead on arrival or not ready to use, then consider asking for a full refund. Such products are best packed up and returned.

2. If you add the "message" that the installer coughs up, put it in 'quoted' format so it's easy to see what's yours and what is the error.
