In the Firefox settings, where you select the font and size, hit the advanced button, and uncheck the box about letting websites choose their own fonts and sizes.
Some people apparently have either 50" monitors that they run at like 640x480 or sit about a half inch from the screen the way the font sizes are.
Another useful tool is the extension "Default Zoom Level". Let's you do a more fine grained zoom on a per-site basis. So if one site is the equivalent of large print books, and the other is for someone who thinks it's cute to use 4pt fonts, you can adjust on the fly with a little thing that sits in your status bar. And despite what it may say, it works great with Firefox 3.6, you just may have to install the nightly tester tools extension for it's ability to override compatibility settings in extensions.
Hope everyone is well today:
Help! Have a new computer that is Windows 7 with Firefox/Internet Explorer currently installed. When I view any website on Explorer the font size is perfect. They make changing it easy: View > Text Size (5 choices with medium the default).
With Firefox unlike any other computer I had or worked with the text size when you visit websites looks like 8 Font! Horrible.
I tried to look under Tools and View and all I could see was a way to change the font (so I thought). I selected Times New Roman 18 and restarted the computer with no change. Went back at tried 24 and restarted, still no change.
What am I doing wrong? Why is there an issue? I would hate to have to use Internet Explorer the bulk of time.
Please help!
Thanks and all be well,
Craig
