Help with External Drive access

by dawhitewabbit / January 24, 2009 8:01 AM PST

Hi all. My last computers mother board fried. I needed to get my wifes photos off the hard drive so I bought a Coolgear Multifunctional cable model FUBCP to hook it up as a external drive and then transfer the pics to my new computer. Haveing tryed it out on her moms old computer I know it works great. Now I was and am useing XP on both old and new hard drives.

After hooking it up is where my issues begin. We shard the computer with our son so we password protected our side of the computer. Now when I went in to get the old pics off it wouldnt let me because it was Password protected, I can look at the pics but it wont let me transfer them.

I know the password but cant find anyware to enter it. Is there any place to look? Or is it locked permenitly? I suppose i could just take out the new hard drive put the old drive in the just fire it up and then burn them to a CD. (pain in the butt LOL )

Any help please XP on both hard drives
both drives are from emachines
Useing coolgear FUBCP Mulifunctional cable.
Old drive is working when hooked up
