Help with Excel

by zeledon22 / March 4, 2007 7:23 AM PST

I need to create a dropdown list on a few columns, I seem to have forgotten how to do it. I remember I have to create the entire list on another sheet, but I dont remember the rest of the steps.

Please help, thank you.

If I remember correctly, this will not work if it is on another sheet, it needs to be on the same sheet. you create teh list and then int eh cell that you want teh drop down you go to Data>Validation and then choose to allow list.

It's generally neater to have your dropdown list source on another sheet. For this you define a named range for the list of items you want in your dropdown, eg. "MyListItems", then in the Data>Validation dialog with Allow:List, specify "=MyListItems" as the Source.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
