The files to look at are config.nt and optionally autoexec.nt
I programmed Clipper apps years ago and only need to reference a Google like http://groups-beta.google.com/groups?q=clipper%20xp%20configuration to remind myself what can be done.
Printing can be a bear, but do the web search on the same words to find solutions.
I have a Clipper app that opens around 80 files. I have created special autoexec and config files - the autoexec contains the line CLIPPER=F100 and the config.sys the line files=120 - however, when I try to open the app, I get Dos error 4 (too many open files0. I have the pif configured for Win95 compatibility mode. Any suggestions?
ps: I sweated to discover that in WinME, you needed to add an instruction in the [386enh] part of system.ini stating PerVmFiles=120 - but this does not appear to hold true for WinXP.
