Help with deleting pics on Samsung S860

May 10, 2008 10:45AM PDT

How do you delete all pics from a Samsung S860? I don't see any way of doing this and I don't wish to delete hundreds of pics one at a time.

Please help, thanks

Most digital cameras put that command in the playback menu.

Change you camera to the playback mode (the mode used to view pictures on the LCD).

Press Menu and look for
Delete
or
Format

Delete usually lets you delete one or all.
Format will delete everything on the memory card.

Thanks, however, I tried that and it only gave me the option to delete individual pictures and there was no known way of finding "format"

Table of Contents - page 5 - top of page, left side.

It directs you to page 46.

Page 46 has the information for formatting the memory card.

If your camera came with a drivers CD, the manual is probably on the CD.

No CD, no paper manual, nothing, and yes I bought it brand new

No luck

Did exactly what you said, the manual gives clear instructions. No "Playback" menu ever appears, much less "Delete". It appears impossible to delete all pics at once with this camera!

It does have Format
May 12, 2008 12:33AM PDT

Turn the camera-on.
Put camera in picture taking mode.
Press the Menu button
Go to page 31 of the manual.
Your menu should look something like the right side of page 31.

Notice the tiny picture that is titled "menu on".
Notice the four icons at the top of that menu.
The rightmost icon is the Settings Menu.
It looks like a tiny gear and wrench.

Use the right side of the round donut ring that surrounds the Menu button to move to the rightmost icon.

Note: the donut ring has four switches:
In Menu mode they are used for moving in the menu:
up, down, left, right.

You should then see the menu
as shown on page 46 of the User Manual.

Format is the topmost listing.

Follow instructions on page 46.

Unfortunately the online manual does not illustrate what you just did and it makes dead perfect sense, I got it thanx

How to delete multiple pictures from Samsung WB200

I have the same problem. I OK multiple delete but can only delete one picture at a time. Is this a design fault?

Samsung WB210

I can not find anything about a Samsung WB200.
Samsung does make a WB210.
I will assume that you have a WB210.

Look on page 83 of the User Manual
Read the whole page.
It explains two ways to delete all photos.

If you do not have a manual you can download one from Samsung website.
The manual is probably a file on the CD that came with the camera.

thanks to snapshot 2 for accurate advice.

We lost our manual to this camera and found it tedious to delete the snaps one by one. Tried the internet and your solution to another's query came up . I foolwed your advice abd rapidly cleared the memory card of all images no longer needed in camera storage.
thank you indded
