Sorry...the battery itself is NB-4L.
I recently got my camera case (which contained the battery charger for my Canon digital camera Powershot 960...luckily, not my camera) stolen. I need to replace the charger and not being great with technology info, need some help with the decision of which one to get. I looked at the exact Canon battery chargers that ce with my camera (cb-2lv) and they are pricey. I then find some generic ones that are more affordable. The main one I am looking at is through Amazon and has pretty good reviews. See here:
I still have the actual Canon battery that came with the camera. So my question (and concern) is if these generic battery chargers can mess up and destroy your battery. If anyone could please share their expertise, opinion, and suggestion as to what to do, I would GREATLY appreciate it, as I just don't know what to do. If a product like the one I have linked above could mess things up, then I would prefer to just replace the charger with another Canon (and take a little hit on my wallet)....but if it would be equivalent and safe, I would of course prefer to save my money!!
Thanks in advance for reading and even more if you respond. Although I am very thankful my camera was not in it's case at the time, I'm still POed that someone took both my new case and charger and I have to replace them! Grrrrr!!!
