HELP WITH BUYING MY FIRST PORTABLE

by VeroincaBillingsley Feb 24, 2010 2:56AM PST

OK here's the must haves...

I check my google email, I google A LOT, and visit various websites, IE: Facebook, Deviant Art etc.

I use Paint Shop Pro. I do a lot of "FIXING of Pix" but, I think PSP is about 300 mgbs running. I work for Sephora, I do all of their online graphics, but I needn't store them on my computer. I can upload them to a picture hosting site, OR I can put them onto disc.

I want to be able to burn CD's.

THATS IT. Thats all I need. I don't do "MOVIE MAKER" I don't need net conferencing etc. SO do I need a LAPTOP or A Notebook? Where should I even begin to look? I mean besides the picture editing, my phone can do 90% of the things I'm looking for in a portable.

I'm sorry to be such a dingbat, but I don't know what any of the numerous letters and number, like "1,333MHz DDR3 SDRAM 6GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM" mean, this looks intimidating to me, and I simply RUN when I see things like that... I just want to know what I can do on it, and what limits I have. I really don't want to have to "ADD" things to it to make it do what I need, unless it's really simple.

Anyone know what I mean? I feel like the geeky kid in school again who simply doesn't get it, if you've the patients to help, I'd so so so greatly appreciate it! THANK YOU SO SO SO much!!!

Shea Rich

How about that -> http://forums.cnet.com/5208-19680_102-0.html?threadID=384332&tag=forums06;forum-threads

But if you had the bucks, look at the Sony's with the i5 CPU.
