Help with Acer Inspire Laptop 5534

I was connected to internet thru router and I took my laptop to work and brought it home and now I cannot get on laptop thru router now. There is a red X beside connections available. What must I do to get the red X off there?

you disable wireless on your laptop. Might be a switch, a function key or a software setting.

Sounds like a setting, check internet options make sure LAN enabled.
