Help with a project...

Mar 3, 2006 9:56AM PST

I was given a task to create a way to weekly schecule a series of playlists.

I work as an IT workstudy, majoring in computer networking, and it has fallen upon me to set up a small video library of clips and commericals of the school.

My idea was to use a playlist with a media player, such as winamp or wmp, that will play the videos. However, management would like the video to alternate on a day to day basis so that the same playlist is not repeted day after day. The primary key to this project is automation, with no human contact of then tech support.

This where I am stuck. I was thinking of using winamp to facilitate it this need, but I do not see how to use a schedule to do this. I was thinking of maybe using the windows task scheduler and running scripts and macros. Would this be too much effort on my part?

I guess my question is, is there a program out there that is doing what Im trying to set up? Any help on this would be a blessing and most welcome.

Thank you. Alan T.
