I'd replace that and reset date and time.
I just looked at the age of this. Could be a number of things like age, cleaning or hardware.
Mod edit to include details.
I have a compaq presario f500. When I turn it on it doesn't show anything on the screen and it keeps ting to boot over and over. Eventually it came up with a PHOENIX BIOS 4.0 Release 6.1 screen. Here's what it says:
BIOS version F.4
CPU Stepping = B3 1800MHz
1471M System RAM Passed
512 KB L2 Cache
System BIOS shadowed
Video BIOS shadowed
ATARI CD-ROM: Optiarc CD-RW CRX880A
Fixed Disk 0: FUJITSU MHW2100BH
System Configuration Data updated
0271: Check date and time settings
0251: System CMOS checksum bad - Default configuration used
President <F1> to resume, <F10> to Setup
What should I do?
Thanks for your help.
