i have a file i cant delete the folder is empty but i cant delete it it says this file is in use please close whats empty well the folder is empty so whats being used in it i tried file wiper and still nothing and i check propertys of folder it says read only i uncheck that box it checks it self again how can i delete it any advice will be appreciated thank you

go to www.cnet.com...see side bar "tools" "forums" and link into the XP forum...
otherwise, check start-run-msconfig and see if your folder is associated with something at startup..uncheck. Or use safe mode to minimum load and try deleting.
The only importance here is possible evidence of malware-spyware associated with that folder.

sentences without any punctuation marks - I had to read your post 4 times before I understood what you were saying.
You may find by rebooting, that any file or folder that is in use will be released. But unless you tell us what folder it is, and what file you are trying to delete, we cant help.
