help windows openning at random

l use a WINXP computer with 1.1MHZ Pentium III, a 256MB memory and a 40 GB HDD with dial up connection to the internet, lately the computer behaves funny, it opens windows at random and moves the mouse across the screen hogging precious system resources many time forcing a reboot. l have scanned with norton with no respite. will appreciate any help

Download (freeware) Ad-aware and Spybot. Install these programs. Find and run the update utility while you are on the internet. Then run a scan with each program (using the default settings), delete or remove any adware and spyware that is found. Then see if the problem is solved.

make sure you are scanning with the latest virus definitions from Symantec. do a Live Update.
