In reply to: ok here

i'm really sorry but I'm still not sure of the problem.

I can access the site, http://www.contechbpo.com ok without any problem, but there is a Login there that I suspect you have to be a member of the site/facility before you can log into its services.

Is this what is happening to you?

What happens when you attempt to login?

Are you sure it is "Windows" that is giving you this error message, and not Internet Explorer?

inside the box it says
windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher

I cant give you the login info so dont know how else to explain this one.

I tried searching for issues unknown publisher, active x so far no help on web.looked in IE sec and privacy settings no help there yet either.

Hi Tex,

I'm really sorry I haven't got back to you sooner. I knew you said this was urgent yesterday but it was late night for me and I had to be up early in the morning. My apologies.

Did you notice the first thing about the Warning message?

"AOL Security Warning"

This has to be an AOL setting, which may be in AOL's browser, or may be from AOL's web site settings. Not being an AOL user I can't say.

Did you try this web site in a browser other than AOL's Internet Explorer?

For future reference, guy's and gals there is a setting in IE and in AOL settings that you can adjust and it works!
To make this work please go to Tools->Internet options->security
->custom Level and set "download unsigned ActiveX controls" to "prompt" .
thanks for the tips again

LOL,
anyhow, I also rechecked that box to disable so as not to forget what I was doing. I then went an downloaded Firefox and the page opens with NO errors like unknown publisher etc... So it worked either way Happy
Thanx Flax!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
