In short, they messed up and it's unclear if you can fix their issues.
May I suggest you just eject it for now and install Free AVG from http://www.grisoft.com as you see David Chan did.

Cannot get Windows XP to shut down properly. Only after going through control-alt-delete, and "ending process" on "ccapp". Then it shuts down ! I know this is not good to do, but what can I do with this on-going problem??
I have already tried uninstalling, and reinstalling my Norton 2003 Pro. Should I try this again ?
