Commonly referred to as DVD-DL that hold about 9gigs of data.
The rumors are that 1080p stuff will be supported on Blue Ray DVD gaming consoles. B-Ray will have 25 or 50 gigs of capacity.
To display 1080p requires a NEW gaming console that can output at 1080p and handle B-Ray DVDs.
So draw you own conclusion, Can a current game console that only handles standard DVDs and was make before 1080p came out do this? John
I am having a debate with some guy that claims that there are games that support native 1080p on a single DVD disk. Is this possible with the storage space required to code a game to render well at 1080p? I figured my CNET techies would know the answer because I don't want to sound like an idiot.
