I'd skip 2014 models. Nod to the newer model.
Hello,
I am currently deciding which gaming laptop I am going to purchase. I currently play on a sub-par desktop that isn't really meant for hardcore gaming, but runs the games I play (League, various "Steam" games, etc.) good enough.
But now I am looking to get a laptop that I can game on the go, and maybe play some better games on. I have narrowed it down to two models. (I am not asking for a suggestions, but if you feel I am missing a very good one, please feel free to suggest.)
The first one is the 2014 Razer Blade.
-I am currently slowly leaning away from this one because I feel its price is slightly unfair. All the reviews for this laptop for extremely positive, but most were from a year ago when it first came out. Other than that I am a HUGE fan of razer, which I fear is a bias that makes it hard to compare to other models. (And I will most likely buy a refurbished or used because the normal price is more than I'd like to spend.)
The second competitor is the MSI GE62 APACHE-276;9S7 15.6 Gaming Laptop.
-This one looks like a beauty. The reviews are great as well, and it's spec's seem like something I'd want. This one's price seems a lot better, coming at just over $1000(+).
Understand that I am relatively new to the laptop buying "ways" and completely new to these forums, so if I'm making a mistake or doing something "newby" please understand. Thanks in advance!
(Note: Battery life isn't that big of a deciding factor. I also use peripherals like a Mouse/pad so the trackpad shouldn't decide anything either. Please ask questions if you have them)
