it simple, just go to the motorola website and get the configuration. if that don't work, you can go to the cingular website and get it from there. i think you have to go to customer support on either website, type in the info, like, model, telephone service provider(if on the motorola website) and phone number. once that's done, then whatever website you're on, will send you auto-configurations for sms(text msg), mms(multi-media service), and internet settings. and save the settings. as they say, ....and that is that.

after i wrote the reply to your little problem, i went ahead and checked both sites, which i will give the links to at the end of this reply.i found the motorola website a little bit complex and it didn't seem to have anything that i was looking for. until i went to the cingular, on the site underneath where it says "MY CINGULAR" to your right it will say "PHONE SUPPORT" CLICK IT, and fill out the info. using the drop-down menus. that should be that.

the link for cingular your best bet.
for motorola it's a bit complex.

It's easy

You said you're on Cingular's service, right? You have to sign up for their current GSM service. If you still have the old AT&T contract it won't work. I had to switch over to their "Nationwide" plan, that's all they offer now. The cheapest plan is $39.99 for 450 minutes but you get everything included. The Web service is a pay as you go or you can pay for blocks of data (per MB) Hope this helps.

let me ask you this: is the V3 you have under contract? if so, you're going to pay extra for the service, y'know to hook up to the net and so on. but i think cingular chrarges by kb(kilobyte). if you go pre-paid,that's not a good idea. because you CAN NOT take advantage of the applications like getting on the net, download of ringtones, songs, wallpaper, just to name a few. the V3 is a powerful phone, my friend.
