Hello kerikobe,

mentioned window is displayed, if AVG Download Manager has issues with downloading main AVG components for installation, or the button is miss-clicked.

Please check the situation with full AVG installation file from this website - use second or third link according to used type of operating system.

Thank you

Hello,

Press Start - Run - type in "msinfo32".
System information will be displayed, next to System type will be either x64 based system or x86.

x86 = 32 bit system.

Thanks

Hello kerikobe,

Is the computer connected to Internet and are all AVG processes fully trusted (allowed) in used firewall application? See this FAQ.

If the unpleasant situation still persists, please upload AVG update logs*:

Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVG10\Log\avgupd.log
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVG10\Log\avgupdm.log

Windows Vista/Seven
C:\ProgramData\AVG10\Log\avgupd.log
C:\ProgramData\AVG10\Log\avgupdm.log

- to favorite online storage and provide us with the link to them.

Thank you

* Some folders could be hidden by default Windows settings. To view hidden files and folders:
1. On the taskbar, click Start -> (Settings) -> Control Panel -> (Appearance and Personalization) -> Folder options.
2. Click the View tab.
3. Click ?Show hidden files and folders? (the name may vary depending on the operating system).
4. Click OK.
