Tell us EXACTLY what you were doing and EXACTLY what happened. Card reader to paste?

I'm assuming you looked in the Recycle Bin?

I was using windows explorer to copy pics from an s d card in a built in card reader.
The sd card had show 2 different partitions??? I copied and pasted the first after making a new file and pasting them into it.
I went back to the card reader using windows explorer and right clicked to copy theses pics, and when I got to the C: drive and created a file, I right clicked and pasted and the pics that appeared were the first 4 only. I tried again and the same.
I then went back to the sd drive and the file was empty.

Thoughts on how to recover them?

Thank you so much, Pandora restored the sd card pics.

My wife had been in Nepal and had pics of Nepal and a flight over Everest

Sincerely.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
