Just for kicks, visit the computer manufacturer's website and download, then install the most recent audio and video driver updates they have. (If you have a custom computer, you'll need to visit the audio and video provider's websites for such updated drivers.)

If that doesn't help, shutting down some of the unnecessary startup programs you have running in the background which could be causing hiccups in the normal operations of the computer. Next, then optimize the hard drive a little and run Chkdsk on the computer, then a disk defrag.
