make a LAN connection between both the machines, and create a home networking. share all the drives.
google it for how to do the same.
Ok, so I stepped on my HP laptop that runs on Windows XP and the screen became very dark to where you have to hold it by the sun to kind of see something, and the "mouse pad" will no longer work so I have to hit tab and enter to access things. I bought a new HP which runs on Windows Vista. I am trying to transfer all of my pictures and documents from old to new laptop. I tried setting up a computer to computer home network, but when I try to type in the password on the old laptop I get a message about how it needs to be a certain amount of ascii characters or hexadecimal characters. So, I bought a windows vista file tranfer cable to transfer files. While trying to install the software on my old laptop I can not install it because it will not go to the install button without using the mouse and my new laptop says it will not work until I install the software on my old laptop. Does anyone have any advice to help me?! Remember I can really not see much at all on my old laptop screen so it's very hard for me to do anything on it. Thanks in advance!!
