Help, troubles setting up my new surround sound system

Jun 19, 2005 3:50PM PDT

Alright so we came home from just buying our new surround sound system, we got everthing to work except the only probelm is that we cannot get audio from our direct-tv receiver. The audio from direct-tv will come out of the normal tv speakers on the tv, but not out the surround sound.

Is there any suggestions or cables i might need?

Thanks,

Chris

How have you hooked your cable box to your receiver? If you are hooking it through a different way than the normal TV speakers there may be a function in the options menu where it is not set up to output audio signals. Hope this helps
