Help! Trojan Dropper Netbuser.A Worm?/Trojan/ AVG Healed but.....

Nov 19, 2003 10:06AM PST

After full scan, AVG (currrent defs) found 1 file infected & healed ok, second file (zipped) still on drive. Deleted latter w/o opening. Tested clean. Did multiple Win98 regcheck clears. Tried to find more info on what AVG called: Trojan Dropper Netbuser A.Exe. AVG Encyclopedia had no info, nor Panda, nor Symantec, under that name (from AVG report during removal). Would like to tell people who MAY have caught this, from my recent E-mails, so they can get removal tool but need a name for Worm/Virus that's recognisable. Any Idea? Closest I came was zoo virus dropper(Panda?) Thanks, time perhaps of the essence for contacts list. Win 98SE, AVG6 /181/15/11/03, IE5.5 P3, 256mb,40gig.Shocked

Thanks Marianna & Grif. I think netbus 160 does sound closer than anything I found. I saw the other but between age since discovered.. I think it came thru Hotmails McAfee from someone also using McAfee. It seemed to load through desktop Games file and then to the actual game and then to Zipped orignal of the same game (Pacman) which I've had for 1 year or more. thanks again for quick response. I better go and get to sending those E-mails 'tho I think my AVG cert. outgoing should have prevented further spread.Happy
