Question

Help to choose a specific laptop please

Sep 12, 2018 6:15AM PDT

Hello everyone!

I'm stuck with choosing a new laptop for our office. It will be used mainly for 3D scanning and post-processing huge 3D files. Our current is i5 , gf 710m , 8gb RAM and does not meet the requirements already. A 3d scanner has these specifications.
My thoughts are:
CPU i7 7+gen
graphics Nvidia GTX 1050+ i guess (AMD is not recommended from what I've heard)
RAM at least 16 gb DDR4 (32 gb in the future)
SSD 500+ gb
17" screen (but i think it's not necessary)
Important: very long battery life (cause I have to scan outdoor sometimes)

I'd like to know your opinion please. 3D scanning and modeling are CPU, GPU and RAM intensive tasks, so I need something hi-end i guess. Some reviews suggest T5xxx series, others Asus ROG.

Thanks for the advance.

The specs say:
NVIDIA Quadro and Intel cards are officially supported starting from the release of Artec Studio 11.

So if you could get those in your laptop that would be fine, I'd say.
