Help, spyware-doctor does not start!

by s_a_a / September 27, 2010 1:20 PM PDT

Hi:
I have an issue with spyware-Doctor not starting.
I have a valid license code and have uninstalled it and re-installed it many many times but it spins and says ?checking?? but never, ever starts even after 30-40 minutes and
The fan of my computer just goes louder during this time.
I have completely uninstalled it before re-installing with all the registry keys removed and also I even did this in Safe-mode and still did not work!
I tried installing it also with ALL the services disabled and all startups turned off, but same result!

I even ran a different spyware product which removed 6 trojan horses from my PC and after that I re-ran spyware-doctor and still save results.

Do you guys have any idea what I can do? I read your forum and some people had similar issues but none of that worked for me.

Thanks.

It Would Help To Know......

It would help to know which version of PC Tool's Spyware Doctor, you're trying to install.

It would also help to know your operating system. Along with, what other security software you have installed. You stated you ran another spyware product. Am I to assume, you haven't had any problems running any of your other security software?

I realize you haven't posted before. But above the box where you created your post, there's a note in red which (in part) reads:

'If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.'

Help us.. help you.

It Would STILL Help To Know..

It would still help to know what I previously asked:

'what other security software you have installed'

'You stated you ran another spyware product. Am I to assume, you haven't had any problems running any of your other security software?'

This is NOT Spyware Doctor with Antivirus?? Just ... "Spyware-doc version: latest from pctools site"?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
