Assuming you're referring to your Vista computer, the "Recently Changed" folder is actually not a normal folder which saves files. It's a virtual "search" listing folder which stores items and files that you have opened previously and have modified. It also saves other "searches" that have been run on the computer. So if you "save" a document, it shows up in the "Recently Changed" folder as well as being truly saved in the "My Documents" folder. In fact, if you're viewing the "Recently Changed" items in the "Favorites Links" in Windows Explorer, then those files are actually "shortcuts" to the actual folder which resides at C:\Users\username\Searches\Recently Changed.
