Help Setting Up HD/TIVO/HDMI/Stereo

Jul 2, 2005 1:53AM PDT

I am thinking of buying an HDTV with an HDMI input. My cable provider has an HDMI output HD Cable Box so that is not a problem. However, I also have a Pioneer Tivo/DVD player and I like to run my sound through my stereo. The problem I am facing is whether I can run the HD cable line through the tivo (which does not have an HDMI input/output) then to the TV and still maintain the HD picture.

Can someone help me or direct me on the best way to set everything up?

Thanks!

Getting an HD signal from Pioneer Tivo/DVD
Jul 3, 2005 1:29AM PDT

Hello,

Depends on the model of Pioneer Tivo and whether it has the capacity to send and receive HD signals. Would you mind providing the Pioneer model number and I'll take a look.

Thank you,
