Help saving a multi page .tiff from windows fax and scan

by sagosc / September 24, 2013 7:07 AM PDT

I am able to scan in fine, and it shows all pages in the preview before I save it, but when I save, it only saves the first page. The scanner is HP and I used to use the HP solutions center but it has gone crazy and I can't seem to get rid of it and re load. I like the WIndows scan and fax but would like it even more if I could save multi page tiff's. Is this possible? Thank you in advance!

How about to a PDF?
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / September 24, 2013 7:24 AM PDT

I use DoPDF to print such things to a PDF file.

But let's get a basic something else out of the way. Windows might not view a multipage TIFF correctly where as IRFANVIEW works for me.

As far as a pdf - I can do that with no problem but the files are huge!

Thanks for your response, I think I found one problem

I think it's working, its just that the hp photo viewer was my default and it only shows the first page. Windows photo viewer shows all.

Good to read.

I've heard the TIFF multi-page complaint many times and it's always a two part issue. 1. Creating multi page and 2. the viewer. I see you have come up to speed on this.
