Help retrieving Psion Series 5 backup data w/ broken display

Jun 6, 2005 5:05PM PDT

My Psion Series 5 display just broke but PDA still working. Need to retrieve Psion data from the backup program on my PC (Windows XP SP2) so can import or hand enter into my new non-Psion PDA (to be purchased). I can not even print out the backup data. I have not used the Psion/PC Sync program in years, but regularly use the Psion Backup program (PSIWin Version 2.3.3 Build 149). Is there a way to print/view the Backup Agenda (calendar) and Data(directory) without the Psion connected to my PC or with the Psion connected but without a working display? Or can someone help me print directly from the Psion to the printer using hot keys since my display is busted? The Psion Company has closed all support. Need help immediately! Thank you

Get another Psion of the same model off ebay, restore from backup and move on. Could be cheap on ebay.

"Is there any way?" is best asked in your supportive groups (i.e. here!)

Some may not like this answer, but when faced with data loss I tend to fling the door open to "any way" and not fixate on only what we have on hand. While it may be a few bucks.. the downside is data loss.

On the upside, after it's all down and you are ready to move on, you can likely sell both the broken and working PDA off to reclaim your costs.
