Question

Help required with suspected malware

Mar 13, 2018 4:55AM PDT

Today when using my Samsung 7 I keep getting adds popping up. I am given the option of finding out more, deleting, or opting out. When I go to 'opt out' I see a screen asking me to install 'Opt Out Tracker'. With this is a warning it could damage my phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

- I'm afraid there is no Samsung 7. Is it a S7, J7, A7 or Note 7 (maybe the list is not complete).
- What version of Android is installed on your x 7?
- Is it only in the browser, or does it popup whatever app you use, or even without using any app?

Anyway , try the Android anti-malware from https://www.malwarebytes.com/mobile/

Factory reset the phone, and next time don't install apps that you don't need. I think my list of apps is in the single digits.
