Mar 17, 2015 11:23PM PDT

HI , Currently I live in a 2000 sq feet house .I have uploaded the floor plan in the gien link http://s238.photobucket.com/user/8aum/media/router%20location.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 ... I own a TP link TD W8961ND modem+router and get average signal strength in ground floor.I do not get any signal on the first floor on the other end of house even though i tried placing the router on the central location in the ground floor. Kindly suggest me a good router+mode for this purpose.I do not want to use range extender. my udget is 50-100$. (Upto Rs 8000)

Thanks.

Why not fix this the usual way?

I use a router as a WAP to fill in dead areas or get better coverage. Replacing the DSL Modem part seems odd. Why must you not solve this the usual way?

I asked for the router because my old router stopped functioning 2 days ago.(no lights) .I think the ICs have burned. So I will have to purchase a new router anyway. Now I have to make a decision about which router to purchase.

DSL modems have to be compatible with your ISP.
